We have been coming to Pastaria for years, addicted to the Cacio e Pepe, warm ambiance, and tasty everything. When my husband and I got married, we realized there was nowhere else we would rather take all our family and friends for a wedding dinner. Madi and the team could not have been more hospitable, welcoming, and organized. The food was as delicious when serving 100 people as just the two of us on a date. The team allowed us to pick and choose all our favorite dishes, rearrange the tables, and were extremely accommodating of super specific dietary restrictions, special drink requests, and handled the inevitable chaos that accompanies all weddings with grace. Granted, we likely had a little bit more -- there was a tornado in Clayton the day of our event (!), but Madi and team were so calm and centered despite the hectic energy we brought in! We lost our placecards, Madi and team immediately jumped in and said don't worry, we'll start making them! We found the placecards, the team said no worries, we'll put them out! The service was incredible, everyone so warm, accommodating, and easygoing. Food is a 10/10 every time. Madi and team even heard about how much we loved pretzels and bows and made us a giant bow shaped pretzel Whether you're considering Pastaria for a casual family dinner, date for two, or your whole wedding, we can safely say we've done them all and had the most incredible experience every single time. Truly our favorite STL restaurant Photos by Weiss Photo and Film

Great pasta! A little pricey (~$30/person) but it is a more high end restaurant and the vibes are really nice. Great customer service and the chili olive oil with bread is super yummy.

Pastaria is a brunch must in St. Louis—especially if you’ve got a big group! I recently visited with the STL Ladies Brunch Group, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Part of Chef Gerard Craft’s Niche Food Group and recently named one of Ian Froeb’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2025, this Clayton gem delivers big on both flavor and vibe. I had the oven-baked eggs, the famous crispy risotto balls (a must!), and treated myself to not one, but two fabulous cocktails—because when the menu is that good, you go for it. I finished with a scoop of dark chocolate gelato that was the perfect sweet ending. The atmosphere is stylish but relaxed, making it ideal for catching up with friends or celebrating something special. And the service was just as delightful as the food. Dog-friendly patio and excellent service. We brought our pup and were seated outside right away. Our server was wonderful—warm, attentive, and impressively fast. The arancini arrived hot and creamy with bright sauces, the wood-fired pizza had a tender, blistered crust with a cloud of fresh cheese, and the layered pasta was rich and comforting without being heavy. Relaxed vibe, fair prices, and staff who genuinely seem happy you’re there (pup included). Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well, this is an absolute great place for high quality pizza and pasta. I'm Italian born and raised, I can assure this place would be successful everywhere in Italy. Pizza is light, great taste and not heavily covered with toppings. We tried the pistachio ravioli and they were superb. If any criticism, the tiramisù was average, to focused on mascarpone. Kids friendly, great service.

Last week a friend and I decided to get together for happy hour, decided to go to Pastaria and it just rolled into dinner! Love that they have some happy hour specials and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Had we wanted to eat our fill with that menu we certainly could but we really enjoyed that we could have. I recommend going early and snagging a table (though I also love the bartenders). We were seated in the wine/deli space which I love dearly. No trip to Pastaria is complete without the risotto balls and I love that they are on the happy hour menu! There are also a few drinks, I happily chose sangria and didn't look back! So good. We also got the margarita pizza which has never disappointed at Pastaria. We were having so much fun and hanging out so long we eventually ordered the garganelli to split and it was the perfect close. I have come to Pastaria dozens of times over the years, doing dear friend meetups like this one, hosting out of town family or friends and holding business dinners of various sizes from a small table to a private room. The service is always topnotch, attentive but not overt, anticipating needs, etc. There is street parking and a garage - the restaurant happily validates.
